InfrAegis Announces New ia55000™ Nuclear and Radiation Detection Systems for Portable and Mobile Applications -- Core Technology Statistically Eliminates Possibility of False Positives 07/19/06

Chicago, IL – July 17, 2006 – InfrAegis, Inc. (Ia™) today announced its ia55000™ Nuclear and Radiation Detection and Spectral Analysis Systems for portable and mobile applications. The portable system is available in both hard case and backpack configurations.  The mobile system is designed for installation in cars, trucks, trains, helicopters, boats, ships, subways, ferries, and on motorcycles.  Both systems are based on a sophisticated core technology platform.

“The ia55000 is the gold standard of specific isotope identification, for both medical and WMD isotopes, and provides highly reliable estimates of volume,” said Gregory E. Webb, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of InfrAegis. “It statistically eliminates the possibility of false negatives because of its unique algorithms, isotope specific identification and compensation for background radiation.” According to The New York Times, New York City police and other users have experienced (and/or respond to) hundreds of false positives per day from gamma pagers and other systems under test.

The ia55000 is a high sensitivity threat isotope detection system that distinguishes between harmless medical isotopes and nuclear/radioactive threat isotopes.  It has wireless communications to a base station command, control and analytic system.  The operator is alerted to threat isotopes through a series of LEDs.  An audio signal is also provided.

The ia55000 has GPS and the following options: GPS with inertial, wireless high definition wide angle camera—day and night, PDA, and wireless metropolitan network. Simultaneously, the command and control is alerted identifying the specific threat isotope and the approximated size of the threat.  Special procedures or protocols are then activated to guide military and law enforcement personnel, port operators, first responders, and government agencies.

The portable system has been designed, tested and placed into a hard case to meet the needs of police and the law enforcement community.  Designed for hands-free operation with simple alerts, the ia55000 can be integrated into current operations with ease.

“Sales will only be made to organizations or personnel with a specific need or authority and credentials will be validated” said Mr. Webb.  “Distribution will be handled through licensed OEMs, direct sales fulfillment, and qualified first responder and law enforcement communities.”
